Vervo Auto tries out the new Scania Super truck

The transport company Vervo Auto provides high quality cargo shipments across the Europe and is constantly growing. With that, a helpful hand gives one of our partners – Scania Latvia, a company that offers powerful and economical cargo trucks. It is also important for our customers because then we can provide fast, safe, and efficient cargo shipments to our clients.

We are the first ones who in the next two weeks will be trying out the Scania Super test cargo truck. It will be driven by Roberts, one of the truck drivers in Vervo Auto. Scania Super is an innovative and sustainable vehicle, which provides greater fuel economy, bigger carrying capacity and longer operating time.

The first route for this truck will be from Latvia to Germany.

The most universal chassis till now

The new vehicle not only consumes significantly less fuel, but it also has the most universal chassis made till now. The wide range of framing and adjusting options, the chance to provide a larger free space on the frame, and the weight distribution allows to improve the carrying capacity of the truck and make the process of superstructures building easier.

Technical strength

The engine, polished to perfection, the reduced weight of repairing parts/details, and the technical durability of the car ensures a longer operating life. The truck's 13-liter engine, together with improved fuel consumption indicators increase the Scania Super operating life by 30%.

Reduced fuel and CO2 consumption

Scania Super delivers 8% lower fuel consumption and 7.4% lower CO2 emissions amount, compared to current trucks. The new truck has become the new benchmark of controlling the amount of CO2 emissions.

Other upgrades

A once-impossible parameter for internal combustion engines, the thermal efficiency of Scania Super brakes has reached the 50% level. The most important elements of the powertrain include a 13-litter engine, a Scania Opticruise gearbox, and a Scania R756 rear axle with a single-stage reduction. A lower internal friction and other factors ensure an almost unnoticeable power transfer. The smooth driving reduces both - the noise and powertrain fuel consumption.

In 2021, Scania celebrated its 130th anniversary, and the new Scania Super truck is their achievement that will definitely change the standards of truck manufacturing. It will allow to move even closer to the decarbonization of the transport industry, and with it, affect the logistics sector as well.

We are honoured to be among the first ones who test drives the Scania Super and are looking forward to see what the future holds!
