Let's start with the shipment from Eltmann, Germany, to Milan, Italy.
On this route, we were delivering paper rolls. Both - loading and unloading were performed with a forklift. Interestingly, paper roll mills in Germany mostly require a specific securing of the load, using fastening straps with long handles, and also corners. The sportswear was packed in boxes that were arranged on pallets. This was a full truckload (FTL) because the truck trailer was filled only with pallets from the sportswear and not combined with other loads.
Cargo shipments from Milan to Riga usually take 3-5 days. The delivery time from the north of Italy is shorted than the south of Italy. That is because, in Italy's north, the manufacturing is more developed, therefore - more developed transport and logistics infrastructure as well.
